CANELO DROPS CHARLO ON THE WAY TO VICTORY

In a historic showdown hailed as the first-ever clash of undisputed champions in the modern era of four-belt boxing, Canelo Alvarez once again showed why he is one of the best fighters in the sport.

Alvarez applied relentless pressure, strategically closing off the ring, leading to a seventh-round knockdown and a commanding unanimous decision in his successful defense of the undisputed super middleweight title on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The judges' scorecards displayed Alvarez's dominance with scores of 119-108, 118-109, and 118-109, marking his 60th professional win and cementing his status as the first fighter in the modern era to achieve a third successful defense of an undisputed championship.

Right from the outset, it was glaringly evident that Canelo had little regard for Charlo's punching power. He cornered the junior middleweight champion and unleashed devastating body shots with calculated precision.

This relentless pressure eventually subdued Charlo's mobility, creating the opportunity for a thunderous right hand that breached Charlo's defense, followed by an uppercut that compelled the challenger to take a knee in the seventh round.

Alvarez continued to exhibit his ring generalship, skillfully stifling Charlo's offense. Charlo, in a courageous attempt at greatness, had moved up two weight divisions to challenge Canelo at the formidable 168-pound weight class.

In the aftermath of his triumphant performance, Alvarez confidently declared to Showtime's Jim Gray, "No one can conquer this Canelo."
